Winter family sessions are the best, especially when it includes the happiest baby in the world and the stunning rocky mountains. For their Mount Lorette Ponds family session we headed out into the mountains to one of my absolute favorite locations It was the perfect winter day and we had the whole place to out self! Emma was also the smiliest, happiest baby I have ever photographed. She just giggled and laughed the whole time (until she got cold that is). Thank you for letting me be the one to capture these memories for you guys! PS. did you guys realize it is one month till Christmas!! How cute is… Keep Reading
I love when clients have certain locations in mind for their sessions or introduce me new locations. This is exactly what the Lippitt’s did for their 2016 family photos. This amazing family use to live in Calgary but two year ago they moved to the amazing town of Canmore. Ever since the move they have been showing all the hidden gems out in the Rocky Mountains that I might not have found on my own. This year for their Bow Lake family session Rachel wanted snow in their photos, but we have been having nothing but unusually warm temps. Needless to say there isn’t any snow in sight (thankfully) so we… Keep Reading
I don’t know where to even start writing about this amazing family session. The Johnson family sone of my favourite families I get to photograph year after year. Ashley and I went to play school and elementary school together, so we have known each other for years! If you can believe it we were the age of her two little boys when we first met. Since then I have had the amazing opportunity to photograph their maternity, newborn, family and even their stunning wedding last year!! It has been so amazing watching Jason & Ashley’s family grow and change! This year for their Alberta Barrier Lake family photography session we… Keep Reading
The Lopuchovsky family traveled all the way from Ohio to Canmore Alberta for a family vacation in the mountains. During their stay here they planned a Barrier Lake family photography session with me! Whoop Whoop! Their only request was they wanted the beautiful teal coloured water lake as there location. There are so many of those to choose from out in the mountains, it was hard to narrow down to the perfect one. Barrier Lake won out and it really ended up being the perfect spot. This family was seriously the best. Every suggestion I had, even climbing to the top of a rocky ridge to get an incredible view of… Keep Reading
Last week I got to meet two of the sweet ladies for a Banff mother & daughter family photography session! Kaitlynn & Sophia are from Saskatchewan and had never been out to Banff before so it was the perfect location for their mom and daughter road trip. I got the pleasure of photographing the two of them out at Lake Minniwanka at the start of their mountain adventure. Sophia had fallen asleep just as they had left Calgary and woke up just before Canmore and couldn’t believe how tall the mountains were Kaitlynn said. I love seeing all the reactions people have to seeing the amazing Rocky Mountains around Banff. They… Keep Reading
The Kin family, was in Canmore for a vacation all the way from Toronto this past weekend. I love when I get photograph clients from all over the world in this beautiful town, but I especially love when its the WHOLE family; aunts, uncles, grandparents, everyone! It is such a special time, and they are all creating memories together that last a lifetime. For their Three Sisters Mountain family photography session we headed to a beautiful open field at the base of the mountain. There is something so majestic about Three Sisters Mountain. We have also had rain for days and days prior to their session, so it was so… Keep Reading
I met the Coetzee family just after new years for their Canmore AB family photography session. Oh man, I just loved how wonderfully snowy their family session was! They seriously chose the perfect day for a session! The mountains were snow covered, it wasn’t 100 below zero and it had snowed the night before so there was fresh called snow to play in! There is not a whole lot better then a snowy mountain family session! I think it brings out the kid in most people including myself! Huge thank you to this gorgeous family for letting me capture your memories!
I look forwards to photographing this family every year because I absolutely adore them! Over the last year they have grown from a family of three to a family of four and also moved from Calgary to the beautiful town of Canmore! With all these changes that have happened in their lives it was so fun photographing them in their new town and watching Shilo be the best big sister ever to Macey. For their Quarry Lake family session at Quarry Lake Park and then headed down to the river off Van Horne street. Both locations are breathtaking. The large area just off Van Horne street use to be an old… Keep Reading
