It has been down right cold in Calgary since Christmas. With minus a million temps and then add on the wind chill it is almost unbearable go outside. This didn’t stop Jordan and Kristin from throwing the most amazing Cochrane Ranchehouse New Years Eve Wedding. With long johns under their suits and dresses, Jordan, Kristin and their entire wedding party braved the cold for some of the most beautiful winter wedding photos I have ever been lucky to capture. They all were absolute troopers.
Their wedding day started slow with the boys getting ready at Kristin’s brothers house and the girls at her family home. They planned to do a first look just the two of them out in Cochrane overlooking the town below. The sun was shinning and the sky was blue which made for a stunning contrast between the white snow. As Kristin walked up behind Jordan and tapped him not he shoulder you could feel the excitement. The moment he turned around his face said it all! PURE JOY!
Their ceremony was at dusk, just as the sun was setting over the mountains in the distance. As they stood underneath the wood arbour Jordan designed and made they promised their lives to one another in a beautiful emotional ceremony. This wasn’t the on’y thing Jordan made. Being a carpenter he also created all the wood signs and centrepiece boxes. He is one seriously talented groom!
Spending the day with these two and their loved ones it was the perfect way to cap off an amazing year and ring in a new one! Congrats Jordan and Kristin! We wish you a lifetime of love an happiness together!

How amazing were Kristin’s wedding heels?!?such a stunning winter bouquetLoved the full lace detail on her dress as well as the low back. It was the perfect dress for her day. Some of the cutest little ring bearers getting ready for their moment to shine.I mix of blue with the brown tweed vest was perfect for their winter wedding.I absolutely love first look wedding photos and Jordan and Kristin’s was no different. It was so full of love, happiness and excitement. All bundled up in her beautiful shawl and mittens they braved the snow and cold for their wedding photos. They were seriously troopers. We did make sure to take lots of breaks to warm up so they could feel their fingers and toes again.Kristin was an absolutely stunning bride! And Jordan was looking mighty dapper himself. It was so cold out that I had to get the wedding party to hold their breaths while shooting otherwise their breath would be seen and cover their faces too much. Got to love Alberta winters! hahaHow absolutely stunning is this arbour?!? Jordan did such an amazing job on itThe two cutest flower girls! And those cute ring bearers blew kisses to the crowd as they walked up!Officially husband and wife!Kristins vison for the room was stunning! My favourite part has to be the cafe lights strung between the wood beams!
