On the perfect spring evening I met Juliet & Marko just outside of Calgary for their Calgary Spring Maternity Session. The wind was warm, The leave had finally just popped on the trees and the fields around us were bursting with bright yellow wild flowers. It was the perfect setting for their intimate maternity session. Marko & Juliet were also two of the sweetest people I had ever met. During their session chatted a bit about how they met and I loved hearing how their friendship grew from just being friends to a relationship, to now being engaged and starting a family. I love hearing my clients love stories because they… Keep Reading
Back in the day I had the pleasure of working along side Nicole as a lifeguard at the Cochrane pool. We spent many early mornings watching lane swim, teaching swimming lessons, and of course having lots of laughs. Since then, I have had the opportunity to keep in touch with her and her now growing family. Darrel & Nicole already have one very sweet daughter, Scarlett, and are expecting their second kiddo any day now. Unfortunately Nicole’s back has had her bedridden for the last little bit so instead of having her maternity session outside we switched things up and did a very cute Calgary at home maternity photography session!… Keep Reading

Growing up you are taught table manners, to say please and thank yous and to just have some common courtesy to the people you run into in every day life. Today I am talking all about etiquette, well photo shoot etiquette that is. Now don’t get scared this isn’t nearly as involved as learning which spoon you start with when sitting down to a formal dinner this is just all about things that you can do to help us as photographers capture the best possible photos during your session. Show up 5-10 mins early. This one is a HUGE one and the reason I put it first! As a photographer I typically… Keep Reading
Just after New Years I got to meet one of my amazing returning family clients. I met Wes and Kathleen first at their maternity session when they were pregnant with Amelia, and then again at her newborn session. I was lucky enough to photograph them this past week as they are now expecting baby number 2!! Yah! I am so excited for them! For their Bragg Creek maternity photography session we headed out to a location that I have been dying to shoot at all winter. It pretty much is what you imagine when you think of a winter wonderland. Snow covered trees, soft winter sun, and snow past your… Keep Reading
I had the pleasure of meeting Kerry, Melanie and Sophia at Sophia’s cake smash session about a year ago. Last week I got to hang out with them again this time at their Rundle Ruins Calgary maternity session. They are expecting another sweet baby girl in July, and It was so fun to catch up with them and capture these memories before they turn into a family of four. We started their maternity session in their home, where it was fun of doggy piles, airplane rides, tickle fights and lots and lots of giggles. Session at home are some of my favourite, and are more about the interactions of the… Keep Reading
I met Mark & Jenevieve on a warm Sunday evening out at their family farm for their Airdrie maternity photography session. What a pleasure it was to shoot out there. From the big Alberta views that went for miles to the sun kissed barely fields it was absolutely breathtaking. Mark & Jenevieve also could not be any nicer, warmer or more adorable expecting couple. They met down in California, Jenevieve’s home sate, when they both attended veterinary school together. Now they have moved back to the farm Mark’s parents started to raise their growing family. I also love that that they incorporated their horses in to the session. Congrats you… Keep Reading
On a rainy Saturday afternoon I met the adorable Meunier family in Confederation Park in Calgary, AB. As we hung out under umbrellas and hiding in the back of vehicles as the rain passed I knew this would be an crazy cute maternity session. As the rain started to pass we ducked into the culvert to take some fun silhouetted shots of Jenn’s cute baby bump. She is seriously glowing! Then it was off to explore the rest of Confederation Park and it was amazingly lush, green and perfect thanks to the rain! Congrats Meunier family! I can not wait to hear about the birth of your little man!
