I got to meet this beautiful family (minus a few of the cute kiddos) back in 2013 at Jared & Trish’s Silvertip wedding. Fast forwards to this past weekend when they all surprised Jared’s mom for her birthday to a trip to Canmore to celebrate her. Part of the surprise was a Rocky Mountain extended family photography session at Quarry Lake Park and I was lucky enough to capture these memories for them. I absolutely adore this family and have been lucky enough to capture so many amazing moments for them. From Trish & Jared’s engagement session, to their wedding, their maternity, a family session when Tyson was less a… Keep Reading
On Wednesday morning I got to meet the sweetest extended family out in Canmore Alberta. This beautiful family is from all over Canada from Cold Lake Alberta to Ontario and chose to meet in Canmore for some festive family fun. For their Quarry Lake extended family photography session we met in the morning just as the sun was peeking out from behind the mountains. It make for some of the most amazing sun kissed mountain top views! To die for! I had such a blast with this family and can not wait for them to see all their Rocky Mountain family photos. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Miskie family!… Keep Reading
I have been photographing this family for years and I love it! It also helps that Ashley and I have been best friends since we were four years old, so these kids have grown up with Auntie always having a camera and making them pose. Each year I do photos for the Janzen’s we try something new. One year was a family paint fight, one year was out in Golden BC and this year was a Canmore tobogganing family session. When we were planning their session they wanted snow but the weather had been so nice that there wasn’t snow anywhere in Canmore. We ended up heading up in elevation… Keep Reading
I love when clients have certain locations in mind for their sessions or introduce me new locations. This is exactly what the Lippitt’s did for their 2016 family photos. This amazing family use to live in Calgary but two year ago they moved to the amazing town of Canmore. Ever since the move they have been showing all the hidden gems out in the Rocky Mountains that I might not have found on my own. This year for their Bow Lake family session Rachel wanted snow in their photos, but we have been having nothing but unusually warm temps. Needless to say there isn’t any snow in sight (thankfully) so we… Keep Reading
I don’t know where to even start writing about this amazing family session. The Johnson family sone of my favourite families I get to photograph year after year. Ashley and I went to play school and elementary school together, so we have known each other for years! If you can believe it we were the age of her two little boys when we first met. Since then I have had the amazing opportunity to photograph their maternity, newborn, family and even their stunning wedding last year!! It has been so amazing watching Jason & Ashley’s family grow and change! This year for their Alberta Barrier Lake family photography session we… Keep Reading
The Lopuchovsky family traveled all the way from Ohio to Canmore Alberta for a family vacation in the mountains. During their stay here they planned a Barrier Lake family photography session with me! Whoop Whoop! Their only request was they wanted the beautiful teal coloured water lake as there location. There are so many of those to choose from out in the mountains, it was hard to narrow down to the perfect one. Barrier Lake won out and it really ended up being the perfect spot. This family was seriously the best. Every suggestion I had, even climbing to the top of a rocky ridge to get an incredible view of… Keep Reading
I met the Coetzee family just after new years for their Canmore AB family photography session. Oh man, I just loved how wonderfully snowy their family session was! They seriously chose the perfect day for a session! The mountains were snow covered, it wasn’t 100 below zero and it had snowed the night before so there was fresh called snow to play in! There is not a whole lot better then a snowy mountain family session! I think it brings out the kid in most people including myself! Huge thank you to this gorgeous family for letting me capture your memories!
I look forwards to photographing this family every year because I absolutely adore them! Over the last year they have grown from a family of three to a family of four and also moved from Calgary to the beautiful town of Canmore! With all these changes that have happened in their lives it was so fun photographing them in their new town and watching Shilo be the best big sister ever to Macey. For their Quarry Lake family session at Quarry Lake Park and then headed down to the river off Van Horne street. Both locations are breathtaking. The large area just off Van Horne street use to be an old… Keep Reading
