I don’t know where to even start writing about this amazing family session. The Johnson family sone of my favourite families I get to photograph year after year. Ashley and I went to play school and elementary school together, so we have known each other for years! If you can believe it we were the age of her two little boys when we first met. Since then I have had the amazing opportunity to photograph their maternity, newborn, family and even their stunning wedding last year!! It has been so amazing watching Jason & Ashley’s family grow and change! This year for their Alberta Barrier Lake family photography session we… Keep Reading
There is nothing I love more then Autumn in the mountains. There is something so incredibly stunning about the mix of green evergreen and the yellows of the poplar trees all against the backdrop of the beautiful Rocky Mountains! When the Shauer family asked to have their Canmore fall family photography session out in the mountains I was 100% in! This family has got to be one of the happiest families I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. Both kids had huge smiles on their face the whole session and there was nothing but fun, laughs, tickle fights and exploring. There also had to be a couple leaf fights,… Keep Reading
The Lopuchovsky family traveled all the way from Ohio to Canmore Alberta for a family vacation in the mountains. During their stay here they planned a Barrier Lake family photography session with me! Whoop Whoop! Their only request was they wanted the beautiful teal coloured water lake as there location. There are so many of those to choose from out in the mountains, it was hard to narrow down to the perfect one. Barrier Lake won out and it really ended up being the perfect spot. This family was seriously the best. Every suggestion I had, even climbing to the top of a rocky ridge to get an incredible view of… Keep Reading
The Kin family, was in Canmore for a vacation all the way from Toronto this past weekend. I love when I get photograph clients from all over the world in this beautiful town, but I especially love when its the WHOLE family; aunts, uncles, grandparents, everyone! It is such a special time, and they are all creating memories together that last a lifetime. For their Three Sisters Mountain family photography session we headed to a beautiful open field at the base of the mountain. There is something so majestic about Three Sisters Mountain. We have also had rain for days and days prior to their session, so it was so… Keep Reading
I got a message from Katrina wanting to do a large family session for her and her immediate family when they were all in town for her med school graduation. I thought this was a great idea so we put a plan into action. For their Bragg Creek family photography session we met at the provincial park along the elbow river. The day prior to their session the weather was cold, cloudy and raining. Little did we know it was cold enough out in Kananaskis that it had actually snowed and stayed on the ground. That didn’t stop Katrina’s dad from still wearing sandals though 😉 This family also knows how to have… Keep Reading
I met the Coetzee family just after new years for their Canmore AB family photography session. Oh man, I just loved how wonderfully snowy their family session was! They seriously chose the perfect day for a session! The mountains were snow covered, it wasn’t 100 below zero and it had snowed the night before so there was fresh called snow to play in! There is not a whole lot better then a snowy mountain family session! I think it brings out the kid in most people including myself! Huge thank you to this gorgeous family for letting me capture your memories!
I look forwards to photographing this family every year because I absolutely adore them! Over the last year they have grown from a family of three to a family of four and also moved from Calgary to the beautiful town of Canmore! With all these changes that have happened in their lives it was so fun photographing them in their new town and watching Shilo be the best big sister ever to Macey. For their Quarry Lake family session at Quarry Lake Park and then headed down to the river off Van Horne street. Both locations are breathtaking. The large area just off Van Horne street use to be an old… Keep Reading
Fall is one of my absolutely favourite times of year for photos, and I don’t think I’m alone in this thought! It has to be one of my busiest times of year for family photos. What makes this time of year even better is fall photos in the the beautiful Rocky Mountains! I met this amazing extended family out at Quarry Lake in Canmore Alberta on Saturday morning for their Canmore Extended Family Photography session. They were all such troopers toughing out the showers that happened on an off through their full sessions. There is nothing more important then family and having the opportunity to capture these memories for this… Keep Reading
