Originally we had Carson & Samantha’s maternity session scheduled for a weekend date but as the date got closer and closer the weather got worse and worse. We made the call to postpone their shoot to the following Monday and I am very we glad we did. Not only was the weather bitterly cold, but there were white out conditions, and highway road closures due to ice and poor visibility. Definitely not the best conditions to be out in especially if you wanted to any of the mountain views. It was a stock of sheer luck that their back up date just happened to be the most stunning winter day… Keep Reading
A few weeks ago I got to catch up with my best friends cousins and his beautiful girlfriend Christy for their Town of Canmore maternity photography session. I have know Brendan since we were both kiddos, me being a slightly older kiddo, but kiddos none the less. It is so exciting that these two are now expecting their own sweet baby in April! YAY! They planned their session to be in the mountains so they could also have a getaway baby-moon just the two of them before babe arrives! I thought that was such a great idea and the perfect way to prep for baby. Congrats you guys! I can… Keep Reading
On a perfect wintery afternoon I met Mike & Barbara for their Canmore Iron Bridge maternity session. Canmore has been going through a warm spell these last couple weeks so all the snow we had on the ground is gone except for the mountain peeks. Because of this the mountains we absolutely stunning and were defiantly showing off for their shoot. These two planned their session in the middle of a weekend getaway to Canmore. There is no better idea then incorporating a session into a mini vacation and sneaking in some relax time before baby arrives. Congrats Mike & Barbara on your growing family. I can not wait to… Keep Reading
Maternity Sessions are some of my favourite sessions to photograph. They are always so full of anticipation and excitement. Wondering what little person their baby will be, trying to guess if they are having a boy or a girl, excited to have a new member in the family. All these questions get to be answered in just a short time. Murray & Heather’s Three Sister’s maternity photography session was perfect. We met just on the outskirts of Canmore Alberta for their shoot and mother nature wasn’t really sure what she was doing this day. Between the snow on the ground and the rain that was falling, we experienced a little… Keep Reading
Last week I met this amazing expecting couple out in the Kananaskis. Nathan and Melissa are originally from Ontario and they moved to the Calgary area a couple years ago for work. For their Galetea Creek maternity photography session they wanted to incorporate some of the stunning Rocky Mountains into their photos as it represents a big feature of living in the west now. Galleria Creek is a little hidden winter wonderland. With the stunning cedar suspension bridge at the base of some of the most incredible mountain views I have seen, it really didn’t disappoint. These two were also so cute together and were a posing dream. Congrats you two!… Keep Reading
This past weekend I had the chance to reconnect with one of my 2015 wedding couples for their adorable maternity session. These two are from Cold Lake Alberta and traveled all the way down to Canmore for their wedding last year. This past weekend they were back for a quick baby moon and we were able to sneak in a quick Canmore mountain maternity photography session when they were here. It was so amazing to catch up with these two, hear all about their lives and just see them again a year and a bit later. I can not wait to hear these two are parents and hopefully photograph their sweet… Keep Reading
When you meet a couple as kind, sweet, and loving as Mike & Kristen you know you have hit the jackpot with clients. They also have an insanely awesome growing family; an adorable little girl with a huge amazing personality named Zoe. Best of all they are expecting their second baby in December! M & K’s Kananaskis Maternity Session was out Barrier Lake on the weekend and it was so much fun. I seriously can not wait to meet their second little one! Congrats you three, and thank you so much for the great session on Saturday!
