6 years, 10’s of thousands of photos, two kiddos, one move to a different city and way to many laughs to count. Over the past 6 years I have had the opportunity to capture the annual Lippitt family photos. Each and every year is an adventure with them. We have gone to an old abandoned barn, we headed out to Bow Lake and took photos in front of glacier, and this year a hike up a mountain in Kananaskis to see the changing laurch trees. Their Ptarmigan Cirque family photography session was perfect. From the beautiful sunny blue skies, to the company I got to hike with, it was one… Keep Reading
When I get emails from families coming in to explore the Rocky Mountains and want to book a family session during their time here I get excited. There is something so fun about watching people be in awe of the the greatness of the mountains. I have grown up in Calgary my whole life so its easy to take for granted how amazing they really are. I met the Tharmarajah Family for a summer Barrier Lake Kananaskis family session on Friday. It was a hot one even at 10 am!! Calgary is going through a heat spell and I am kinda loving it, but it makes for very HOT sessions. Thank… Keep Reading
A couple weekends ago I got the meet the Lamarca family! These 5 were such a blast to photograph. They laughed, played and just had fun as a family during the full shoot. For their Kananaskis family photography session we headed out to the Sudance Lodge area where there is this beautiful little teal stream that wanders its way thru this stunning forested area. With lots of places to explore and look for beavers (thats all youngest Sully wanted to do) it really was the perfect spot for their shoot. Thank you Lamarca family for spending the afternoon with me! You guys rock! If your looking for a Family Photography get in… Keep Reading
I love when clients have certain locations in mind for their sessions or introduce me new locations. This is exactly what the Lippitt’s did for their 2016 family photos. This amazing family use to live in Calgary but two year ago they moved to the amazing town of Canmore. Ever since the move they have been showing all the hidden gems out in the Rocky Mountains that I might not have found on my own. This year for their Bow Lake family session Rachel wanted snow in their photos, but we have been having nothing but unusually warm temps. Needless to say there isn’t any snow in sight (thankfully) so we… Keep Reading
The Lopuchovsky family traveled all the way from Ohio to Canmore Alberta for a family vacation in the mountains. During their stay here they planned a Barrier Lake family photography session with me! Whoop Whoop! Their only request was they wanted the beautiful teal coloured water lake as there location. There are so many of those to choose from out in the mountains, it was hard to narrow down to the perfect one. Barrier Lake won out and it really ended up being the perfect spot. This family was seriously the best. Every suggestion I had, even climbing to the top of a rocky ridge to get an incredible view of… Keep Reading
The Kin family, was in Canmore for a vacation all the way from Toronto this past weekend. I love when I get photograph clients from all over the world in this beautiful town, but I especially love when its the WHOLE family; aunts, uncles, grandparents, everyone! It is such a special time, and they are all creating memories together that last a lifetime. For their Three Sisters Mountain family photography session we headed to a beautiful open field at the base of the mountain. There is something so majestic about Three Sisters Mountain. We have also had rain for days and days prior to their session, so it was so… Keep Reading
Fall is one of my absolutely favourite times of year for photos, and I don’t think I’m alone in this thought! It has to be one of my busiest times of year for family photos. What makes this time of year even better is fall photos in the the beautiful Rocky Mountains! I met this amazing extended family out at Quarry Lake in Canmore Alberta on Saturday morning for their Canmore Extended Family Photography session. They were all such troopers toughing out the showers that happened on an off through their full sessions. There is nothing more important then family and having the opportunity to capture these memories for this… Keep Reading
I got the pleasure of photographing Dustin & Jenna’s and their adorable family twice this past weekend! How lucky am I? The first time was because all three of them were part of one of my amazing couple’s wedding day and then again the next day for their own Canmore Family Photography session. These three are cute, cute, cute and I loved that I got to be the one to capture these memories for them! They are from Cold Lake so they jumped at the chance to have photos in the mountains! Thanks for the amazing weekend!
