A couple weeks ago I got to meet up with Charles & Christine, one of my 2019 wedding couples. These guys were so much fun and up for anything. For their Kananaskis Winter Engagement Session we started at a spot I had been dying to shoot at for awhile now. I love couples that are up for a bit of an adventure. They also brought their gorgeous pup Mia. She had an absolute blast running around checking all the locations out. I can not say enough good things about these two and I am so crazy excited to be a part of their wedding day! November 2019 can’t come soon enough!… Keep Reading
Kananaskis Waterfall Engagement Session | Jordan & Elise | Calgary Engagement Photographer
They always say there is 6 degrees of separation but it really is interesting how small the world is. When I first met Jordan & Elise at their initial client meeting Elise mentioned that her maid of honour was also a wedding photographer. I asked who this friend of her is and turns out not only is her maid of honour is a photographer friend of mine! Such a small world! When we were planning their engagement session they mentioned that they like to hike and spend a lot of time in the mountains so I immediately thought that Troll Falls would be the perfect spot for their session. We… Keep Reading
Galetea Trail Kananaskis Engagement Session | Logan & Steph | Calgary Engagement Photos
Logan & Steph are two of the sweetest, most genuine people and I learned that all in only the time it took me to capture their Galetea Trail Kananaskis Engagement Session. These two are planning a summer 2019 destination wedding which sounds like it would be an absolute blast! It doesn’t surprise me one bit that they are planning an adventure for their big day. Every time I asked them to do something a little bit crazy or out of the box they both immediately were up for it! From standing in the middle of a fast moving mountain river, to running down the middle of the road they always said… Keep Reading
Kananaskis Forgetmenot Pond Engagement Photos | Lee & Alex | Canmore Wedding Photographer
Lee & Alex wanted their engagement session out at Kananaskis Forgetmenot Pond over the Thanksgiving weekend. When we were planning their session we thought there might be a chance it might be a bit chilly for their morning shoot but we never expected to have all 2 totally different seasons during their shoot. When we first pulled in, it was slowly started to snow and by the time we started to shoot it was a full on blizzard. Lee & Alex were absolute troopers and braved the cold like it was no big deal. By the end of their shoot it was clear blue skies and back to the most… Keep Reading
Kananaskis Engagement Session | Tom & Heather | Canmore Wedding Photographer
Engagement seasons are some of my favourite session to shoot. What makes them even better is when you have already had the chance to photograph one half of the couple when the soon to be bride, Heather, was the maid of honor in one of my favourite weddings from 2016. I secretly hoped when I saw this adorable couple at Dylan & Brandi’s wedding that I would get asked to shoot their engagement session. They were that adorable. For Tom & Heather’s Kananaskis engagement session we headed out to the mountains just before sunset to see if we could catch some dreamy mountain light. Tom is from the Northwest Territories and… Keep Reading
Barrier Lake Engagement Session | Tim & Lisa-Anne | Canmore Photographer
I am loving that the weather is finally get warm enough to enjoy the beautiful spring evenings. This past Tuesday I met one of my 2017 wedding couples out in the Kananaskis for their Barrier Lake Engagement session. It was the perfect evening hanging out with Tim & Lisa-Anne and their dog Diesel. We started the evening on the sandy shore of Barrier Lake, where they popped Champagne and danced in the setting sun. Then it was off to a secret spot I found while scouting to catch the last bit of golden sun at the top of a mountain. Seriously the mountain views all around this lake are to… Keep Reading
Bragg Creek Engagement Photography – Alberta Wedding Photographer
From the moment I met Madison & Steve they were laughing and having fun. They told me that were were super awkward and were good at photos and they could not be more wrong. They were absolute rock stars in front of my camera. There is nothing I love more then when couples can be 100% themselves and just have a good time! These two wanted to have their engagement session around the Bragg Creek area because they had drove from Calgary to Bragg Creek for ice cream on their first date. How cute is that? They may have also ended their engagement session a scoop as well 😉 For… Keep Reading
Barrier Lake Engagement Photography ~ Dylan & Brandi’s Kananaskis Engagement
As I was driving out to the Kananaskis on Tuesday for Dylan & Brandi’s engagement session the sky kept getting darker and darker. I had my fingers, and toes and everything else crossed the rain would hold out until their engagement session was over. To say mother nature put on a show for us during their session would be an understatement. I am not sure I have ever seen clouds quite as dark or mean looking ever! Thankfully the rain held off until we were done our session, but it did make for quite the backdrop to their Barrier Lake engagement photography session. The weather also didn’t put a damper… Keep Reading
