Over the weekend I got the chance to head out to Dewinton extended family photography session for the Kavanagh family. This was such a fun session as we did the entire session on their property out in the country. Even a couple horses got in on some of the photos. 🙂 This whole session was in part to celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs Kavanagh senior and it was so fun to chat with them a little bit about their secrets to a happy marriage. Best part was they said there was no secret it was all about compromise and a lot of give and take. I… Keep Reading
There are so many amazing hidden gem areas for beautiful locations in and around Calgary! Its always like a treasure hunt to find them and love when I am introduced to new areas. The Kolenick family contacted me for an autumn Calgary family photography session but asked to come by where they live. They have the most beautiful reserve by their house that had the most amazing fall colors right now! This location was stunning! Nestled at the top of of Paskapoo Hills, not only were the trees amazing but the view was also stunning. This family was also so super cute! They laughed, giggled and played the whole time…. I met Justin, Katrina and their beautiful rescued pooch Nala on a amazing fall evening in Fishcreek Park. It was such a perfect session. I am such an animal lover so I love it when clients incorporate their animals into their session. Mostly because if I wasn’t a photographer I would want to be a puppy cuddler! (that’s totally a job right?!?) Thanks guys for a great session, all the laughs and for letting me play with your very cute pooch!
James & Ashley welcome little miss Ella into the world on September 9th and she is just the sweetest thing ever! I had the pleasure of shooting J+A’s wedding down in Mexico in 2013 and now I had the pleasure of shooting Ella’s first photo shoot! I love it when I am able to capture big moments in friends lives. Congrats James & Ashley! She is absolute adorable!
This week is week 12 in my 365 a click a day project. 12 week means that these photos are numbers 77-83 out of 365. Hard to believe! I have to admit I have surprised myself, and I have absolutely surprised my husband that I have continued this far into the project. I do feel that I have come to far to not keep going. That the first 12 weeks of the year would be a waste if I didn’t keep going. There are many days when I have put off taking the photo until the last minute and then struggle to find something to photograph. Other days there are… Keep Reading
I absolutely LOVE surprises, so when Michaela emailed me about shooting a surprise family session for her Mom Maria as a gift for her birthday, I was instantly excited! This was going to be such an incredible and memorable gift! It was such a fun (but very cold) afternoon spent with this family and their two adorable pooches Tia and Maiden at the Edworthy dog park. Maria had absolutely no idea about the session until they pulled up to the park and I was there ready to capture every moment. Thats when Maria put all the pieces and realized why the girls were telling her she couldn’t wear her snow… Keep Reading
