On a cold, windy, rainy day Chas planned to take Liz to the spot in a park where they had their first date. As they were walking to their spot the wind started blowing harder and colder so Liz suggested to turn around and go back. Chas was determined to get to their spot but after a coupe more steps he knew this was not going to be the way he wanted to propose to Liz. After wracking his brain for a backup plan, he decided they would warm up and dry off and check out the new wine bar in Calgary, Frenchies on 17th Ave. After sipping their favourite wine, in the speak easy style space Chas decided to ask the other 10 restaurant goes to leave the space momentarily as Liz was in the bathroom. When Liz returned, Chas was standing in the middle of the room asking her to be his forever. It might not have been his original plan but it was perfectly them. For their engagement session they wanted to go back to the place they got engaged and I absolutely loved this idea. From sipping rose wine and eating the same cheese plater they ate that first night their session was perfectly them. Thank you for showing me the spot so lose to your hearts, and a huge thank you to Frenchies Wine Bar for letting us take over your space for their session.
Nothing like an engagement ring shot surrounded by a cheese platter. After we left the wine bar we headed to Lougheed House just a couple blocks away. I love the older architecture and the old sandstone. These two were so stinking cute together.
