Living in Calgary we really are blessed with having the Rocky Mountains right in our back yard. From Calgary they are only about an hour away so we sometimes forget how lucky we are. Today on the blog I am talk all about the 4 Reason Why Mountain Family Photos Are Always A Good Idea

They are breathtaking. People travel from all over the world to see the stunning Rocky Mountains. They are majestic it all on their own so why not use then as the backdrop to your family photos? I always push my clients to think of a spot they love or are drawn to for their session and you can never really go wrong with the mountains.
There is a lot of diversity. You don’t have to go on hour long hikes to get stunning mountain views. A shot walk or even in some locations you can drive right to the spot and your there. So weather you are avid hikers and want to go to those more remote location or your skill level in on the beginner side there is something for everyone.
Make the day of it. I know getting family photos aren’t everyones favourite things (**cough cough** Husbands), so make it an adventure. Pack a picnic and turn the boring old family session into fun day. This way you will have a great day exploring our beautiful backyard with some amazing memories for you to love for a long time.
You deserve it! When was the last time you got to do something you wanted to do. I do have a lot of families that get photos done year after year and I love it. But i also shot a lot of other sessions for families that maybe do them every couple years. Ether way having your session out in the mountains will ensure you get that wow factor in your photos, cause lets face it… you deserve it!
