I am pretty sure I shot the cutest family/first birthday cake smash ever this past weekend! I met Palmer and her beautiful family at her Calgary Pearce Estate Park 1st birthday cake smash session on Saturday morning and right from the start I knew it was going to be the best! It was the perfect spring morning with soft sun but already in the +20’s! We found this little pocket of perfectness nestled in the tress for their location. Also can we just take a moment and talk about how stinking adorable this family is? Mom Melissa had a vintage lace theme for the cake smash and every inspiration photos she sent me prior to her shoot got me more and more excited. From the burlap and lace ribbon banner to the cute antique quilt, Melissa had thought of everything. I grabbed the giant tasseled pink and peach balloons from Calgary Party 50 which added a little whimsy to the photos. Also Palmer’s cake might just be the most beautiful cake I had ever seen. The naked three layer cake toped with fresh flowers and gold leaf was absolutely stunning! Sweet Art by Nicole really outdid herself when making Palmer’s cake! Palmer also LOVED eating it and wasn’t shy at all when digging in! From start to finished this session was perfect and this adorable family rocked their shoot.
