This Calgary family session was such a treat. We started our evening outside Hotel Arts, where the colorful bike mural made the perfect backdrop. It was such a fun and meaningful choice since Andrew used to race bikes on a European team. You could tell the spot brought back a few memories for him, and it made the photos feel that much more personal.

Their family of five showed up looking so stylish and full of energy. Their three girls were absolutely wonderful — full of laughter, ideas, and ready for anything. They posed, and giggled their way through the session, and I loved how natural and playful the whole evening felt. There was no pressure to be perfect, just real moments and genuine joy.

After finishing up at the mural, we made our way over to Central Memorial Park just as the sun began to set. The light was soft and golden, wrapping everything in that dreamy glow that photographers wait all year for. The old sandstone library stood beautifully in the background, and the combination of the architecture and sunset made the whole scene feel a little bit magical.

It was one of those evenings where everything just came together — a stylish family, a meaningful location, and the perfect Calgary sunset. Sessions like this remind me how fun it can be to mix urban backdrops with a touch of nature and history.
