Calgary Ab Autumn Mini Family Photos Sessions

This fall I hosted a set of mini sessions at one of my favorite hidden gems in Calgary — the lookout point in Fish Creek Park. The view was absolutely breathtaking, filled with warm golden leaves, soft evening light, and that perfect crisp autumn air that makes everything feel cozy.

I photographed six beautiful families that day, and each session had its own special energy. Some little ones were giggling and tossing leaves, others were shy at first but quickly opened up once they realized how much fun we were having. Parents cuddled up, families laughed together, and we captured so many genuine moments that perfectly showed what fall in Calgary is all about.

Fish Creek Park never disappoints, but during autumn it feels truly magical. The trees turn the most beautiful shades of yellow and orange, and the light filters through them in a way that makes every photo glow. It’s the perfect setting for family photos — calm, natural, and full of that classic Alberta beauty.

Mini sessions are such a great way to update family photos without needing a full session. They’re short, sweet, and full of connection. I love how relaxed everyone feels once we get started — it’s about more than just smiling for the camera, it’s about capturing the love and laughter that make your family unique.

I’m so grateful for all the families who joined me this year at Fish Creek Park. Each one brought their own joy and warmth to the day, and together we created something really special.
