Calgary Lake Engagement Session | Aaron & Alyssa | Calgary Engagement Photographer

I was so freaking excited when Aaron & Alyssa asked me to be their photographer for their wedding day. Over the last couple years I have gotten to know Alyssa through Event Core and thought her I have also gotten to know Aaron. These two are the cutest couple ever, so you better believe I did a happy dance around my kitchen then they asked. I always encourage my couples to get engagement photos prior to their day so they can one have more photos for their invites or guest book but also to see what it will be like to be in front of my camera and some of the poses I typically use. Aaron & Alyssa jumped at the chance for an engagement session and when I asked what they wanted to do they said not sure but we want it to include wine! haha now that was an engagement theme I can get behind! Aaron’s sister and her family lived in Boavista so for their session they settled on heading to that lake for a picnic and a paddle for their Calgary Lake Engagement Session. How fun is that!?!? I also love how prepared they came. Aaron walked in totting a rubbermaid bin full off mugs, coffee, wine, a hammock and their awesome outfit changes. My photographer heart almost exploded and to say I was excited was an understatement. They were also up for absolutely anything. From cuddling in a row boat, to snuggling on a paddle board, to trying to re enact the dirty dancing lift in waist deep water, to canoodling in a hammock, they were rock stars and always said yes! Thank you A&A for the amazing night and I am even more excited to capture your wedding day!
