There is a tiny, magical window each summer when the fields just south of Calgary burst into a breathtaking display of pink, white, and crimson. This year, I had the pleasure of hosting mini sessions at the stunning Parkland Peonies. This location is an absolute dream for capturing Calgary peony farm family photos, offering endless rows of lush, fragrant blooms that make every frame feel like a fairytale.

I spent a gorgeous afternoon hanging out with two wonderful families. First was Yvonne and her lively family of five. With a sweet baby, an energetic toddler, and a big brother who kept everyone laughing, their session was a beautiful whirlwind. We let the kids run down the dirt paths, gave high-flying swings between Mom and Dad, and snuggled up tight among the flowers.

Right after, I met up with Jessy and her family of four. Her teenage daughters rocked the coolest country-chic outfits and cowboy boots, and we had the best time capturing their close-knit bond. Whether they were strolling hand-in-hand down the peony rows or laughing together on a rustic bench, their warmth made my job as a Calgary family photographer a breeze.
