Calgary Rodney’s Oyster House Wedding | Patrick & Emily| Calgary Wedding

I have been looking forwards all year for Patrick & Emily’s wedding day. From the moment I met there I knew these two were my people. Then once they started telling me more about their small Calgary Oyster House wedding day I was hooked! I LOVE when clients think outside the box for venues and this is exactly what these two did. They both have a love for food and sea food so when a friend recombined a restaurant that they both literally walk by every single day to work they had to check it out. This white washed, sun drenched coastal inspired venue was the perfect spot for their wedding day.
The day started with the girls getting ready in Patrick and Emily’s downtown apartment and the boys over at the best man’s place. Then they planned a first look to happen in the most beautiful courtyard. I could have shot in it all day. Their first look was nothing short of amazing. The look on Patrick’s face when Emily untied the blindfold was nothing but sheer joy! It was amazing to watch these two experience seeing each other for the first time!!
Patrik and Emily wanted to keep with the downtown theme of the wedding so we hopped in the car and zipped off to St. Patricks Island for their photos. One of the best parts of doing all your photos downtown is all the hustle and bustle that is going on. There was even a busker singing and playing guitar in the park. It was the perfect moment for P&E to dance and enjoy their time together before their wedding party joined us! It was such a fun candid moment!
Patrick warned us that he couldn’t get through practicing his vows without getting emotional so when it came time to say their personalized vows to each other their wasn’t a dry eye in the house!! From the start of the day to the end, it was all about the love they shared for each other as well as they amazing family and friends. It was about incorporating their love of their city, their interests, their favourite ice cream shop Made by Marcus, and their closest friends and family. Their wedding day was truly one for the books and it was such an honour to be a part of celebrating them and documenting their love!
Congrats Patrick & Emily, you guys are truly a perfect match!

Emily wore a stunning dove grey Vera Wang Wedding dress!
Each bridesmaid got to wear a dress of their choice. I love this and it gives so much inserts to the wedding party photos!
The gorgeous bride!
How fun are Patricks socks?!?
The sweet note Emily sent over for Patrick to read the morning of their wedding.
How dapper is Patrick?!?
They wanted a first look before the ceremony, and Emily couldn’t hide her excitement to see Patrick!
It rained a bit just as we were walking to St. Patricks Island. That didn’t get these two down. They totally rocked it and it made for some cute umbrella photos. My favourite!
There was an amazing musician named Mason Jenkins singing down in St. Patricks Island. I suggested to them they should dance and they loved that idea! He even changed the song to slower one so they could just enjoy each other.
This wedding party was amazing! Definitely one of my all time favourites!
Seriously not a dry eye in the house when Patrick was saying his vows to Emily!
The small upstairs space of the Rodney’s Oyster House was completely transformed and was absolutely breathtaking.
Patrick & Emily took dance lessons leading up to their wedding day so they absolutely rocked their first dance!
Instead of a cake they decided to do a Made by Marcus (their favourite ice cream shop just down the road from their place) ice cream bar! Such a fun a personalized way to end dinner! It was also a HUGE hit!
At the very end of the night we snuck the two of them out and went to the top of a parking garage to try to catch the last golden light! It was the perfect way to end the perfect day!
