I was so excited for Ariff & Cheryl’s engagement session! We were planning for more of an urban feel for their shoot and there is just something so fun about exploring Calgary’s city core! For their Calgary Stephen Avenue engagement session we decided to meet at the Hudson Bay arches. I absolutely love this spot! The sandstone columns with checkered granite floor is so timeless and makes my interior designer heart flutter (yes I have a degree in interior design but photography has my heart). Then it was off to wander Stephen ave. Ariff and Cheryl were so cute, laughing and just enjoying each other the whole time like there wasn’t another person around. Also Cheryl’s smile is contagious. She was so sweet and giggly the whole time and a serious dream to photograph. Also can we just take a moment and chat out their outfits! For a sophisticated downtown engagement session they absolutely nailed it! We finished their session by heading up to Scotsman’s Hill to get a great view of the entire downtown skyline but still see those stunning Rocky Mountains in the background. Yup, their session was a dream! Congrats you two! You were both incredibly amazing to photograph and it was so fun spending the morning with you!

There is just something about the Hudson Bay arched walkway!!No one makes dancing in the street look better!I found this cute yellow door when I was scouting prior to their session and knew I had to use it in their shoot!
Honestly they were so fun and naturals infant of the camera.Nothing beats that city view from Scotsmen’s Hill!
