I was so excited to shoot Derrick’s first birthday cake smash session over the weekend. One because it was such a beautiful fall day but two because I get to shoot in my new beautiful studio space!! YAH! We started their Calgary studio cake smash session actually outdoors in Carburn park for a quick family session and then we headed to the studio for all the messy parts. Derricks mom Yilin wanted to do more of a woodland themed cake smash and she made the best cake to match her theme. Once he figured out how yummy the cake she made was we almost couldn’t get him to stop. haha Then it was into the wash basin for a couple cute bubble bath photos. Is there anything cuter then a baby in a bubble bath? His whole session was seriously cute. Happy Birthday Derrick! It was so fun capturing these memories and being apart of your very first birthday!!
