Calgary Winter Forest Couple Session | A Warm Sunset and Fresh Snow
There is something magical about a winter forest session, especially when the air is crisp, the light is soft and the ground is covered in that first sprinkle of snow. This Calgary winter couple session at Griffith Woods had all of that and more. It felt romantic from the moment we stepped onto the trail and the warm winter sunset made everything glow.
These two had driven all the way from Saskatchewan for a weekend getaway in Calgary and to sneak in a couple session while they were here. I love when couples turn their session into a little adventure. It always adds a spark and you could tell they were so excited to explore somewhere new together. From the moment we started, they were laughing, hugging, and sinking right into the fun of it.
Griffith Woods was quiet and peaceful with pockets of golden light slipping through the trees. It is one of those Calgary spots that feels tucked away from the city even though it is right here. The fresh snow softened the trails and added the perfect touch of winter magic. These two moved together so naturally, whether they were walking down the snowy path, dancing in the middle of the trail or leaning in for those soft, close moments that make winter photos so romantic.
One of my favourite parts of this session was how playful they were. They made the entire experience easy and full of joy. When couples show up ready to enjoy each other and trust the process, it always results in the most genuine images. Their warmth and connection brought so much life to the chilly evening and it was such a beautiful thing to capture.
