Featured Wedding Vendor | Cake Bake ShoppeToday I am honored to share another featured Calgary wedding vendor! Tanya from the Cake Bake Shoppe is one seriously talented baker and designer. I have had the pleasure of working along side of her at weddings, styled shoots and cake smash sessions. Her cakes are more then just delish they are also little (and sometimes big) pieces of art. A couple months ago I got to chat a little more with Tanya and find out a little more about the girl behind all the cake batter and icing!
1. How long have you been in business?
I’ve owned my store for a little over 4 years. I have been making cakes for about 12 years.
2. What made you get into your career?
I was actually in my 3rd year of university to become a physiotherapist until I realized that I wasn’t going to be happy doing that. I wanted something that I could utilize my creative talent, so I dropped out of university and enrolled into culinary school where I earned my diploma in baking & pastry and graduated at the top of my class!
3. What is your favorite flavor of cake?
That is a really hard question. I can only tell you that I’m more of a vanilla cake girl but if there is only chocolate cake, I’ll eat that too!
4. Fun fact about you?
I have a pinup girl/cupcake tattoo and a motorcycle license!

The joy of others in most inspiring for me. When I make a cake that is impressive but also personal, the reaction from the recipient is priceless. Others happiness will never get old!

I LOVE creating themed wedding cakes!! Send me all the Star Wars, cartoon loving, Disney couples my way because those cakes are the bees knees!
