Jessica and her grandfather had a running joke each time they saw each other, that he would check her hand to see if Cody had slipped a ring on her finger. If there was no ring Grandpa would tease Cody and ask him where it was and he would just shrug and brush it off. Grandpa would then tell Jessica that he was sure it would happen before Valentines day. As Jessica went to go pick up Cody from the airport on February 13th, after being gone for work she had no idea that right there at the airport he would ask her to marry him! She of course said “YES!”  and that night the two of them drove out to see her grandfather. The first thing he did when they got there was grab her hand to check for a ring and the moment he felt it he burst into tears. Jessica’s grandfather was right Cody did propose before Valentine’s day!

For their wedding they had their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony at the Willow Lane Barn in Olds Alberta, however the weather was not looking good! With a forecast of 4 degrees they handed out blankets and hopped the rain would stop and not turn into snow! They got their wish and Cody & Jessica said “I do” in front of their friends and family at their outdoor ceremony! Both of them wanted to incorporate aspects of themselves into their wedding, so with Cody being a hunter and owner of everything cameo got to wear a cameo vest under his suit and you could see pieces of him amongst the elegant rustic feel & decor Jessica had envisioned and dreamed of! The soft touches of flowers, gold silverware, and tule brought life to the large rustic barn. Their day was simply perfect and was topped off with their a giant bonfire and guests roasting marshmallows!

Congrats Cody and Jess on your incredible wedding day! It was such an honor to be a part of it!
