I look forwards to photographing this family every year because I absolutely adore them! Over the last year they have grown from a family of three to a family of four and also moved from Calgary to the beautiful town of Canmore! With all these changes that have happened in their lives it was so fun photographing them in their new town and watching Shilo be the best big sister ever to Macey. For their Quarry Lake family session at Quarry Lake Park and then headed down to the river off Van Horne street. Both locations are breathtaking. The large area just off Van Horne street use to be an old cold mine so there is still lots of history there with old coal shafts and entrances. I was also given a lesson on what all the mountain names were by Shilo (she is defiantly smarter then I am!). I swear kids are getting smarter and smarter, or maybe it is a sign that I am getting old! 😉
Thank you to the Lippitts for making this an yearly tradition even though you not just down the road from us anymore! You guys are the best!

Love this Quarry Lake family portrait session! The first shot is simply breathtaking! This session has such a natural feel to it, like you just happened to capture this family hanging out in the area. The two little girls are adorable! 🙂
