Calgary Fall Family Photos _ The Platform

I have known Tilly and Jeff for almost twenty years, so getting to photograph their family of four on top of The Platform Parkade in Downtown Calgary was such a treat. Add in their two amazing boys, a warm golden evening, and the prettiest city sunset and it honestly could not have been more perfect.

As a Calgary photographer, I am always on the lookout for unique locations that mix city vibes with natural light. The Platform Parkade rooftop is one of my favorites because you get incredible skyline views and when the sun starts to set, the whole space glows. On this particular evening, the light was magic. Golden, warm, and just the right amount of dramatic. It was the kind of sunset that makes you want to stay up there long after the camera is packed away.

Tilly and Jeff’s boys were such a joy to photograph. They were full of smiles, gave the best hugs, and were total naturals in front of the camera. I loved how they leaned into the moment, laughing together one second and snuggling in close with mom and dad the next. It made the session feel relaxed and genuine, just like their family. Watching them interact reminded me why I love being a Calgary family photographer. Family photos should feel real, filled with love, laughter, and a touch of playfulness.

One of my favorite parts of being a Calgary family photographer is getting to watch families grow. Having known Tilly and Jeff for so long, it felt extra special to capture their family at this stage of life. Their boys are growing so fast and I love that we got to freeze a little slice of their childhood against the backdrop of the Calgary skyline.
