If you live in Calgary, you already know the golden rule of weather: if you don’t like it, just wait five minutes. That is exactly what happened for this sweet Tuscany Ridge Calgary family photography session. They are beloved return clients of mine, so when we woke up to a gloomy, rain-filled morning forecast, we didn’t panic. We just shifted our timeline by a few hours, crossed our fingers, and hoped for the best.

By the afternoon, the rain cleared out completely, leaving behind dramatic clouds and beautiful, bright blue skies. It turned out to be the absolute perfect backdrop for their Tuscany Ridge Calgary family photography session.

With big groups, my main goal is making sure every single relationship gets its moment. We made sure to capture the whole crew together, but we also carved out quiet moments for smaller pairings, including some beautiful three-generation portraits and plenty of time for the little ones to explore the paths.
