Banff Lake Minniwanka Wedding Proposal | Chris & Danielle | Banff Proposal Photographer

When I got the email from Chris a few months back, explaining he wanted to propose to his girlfriend when they are on holidays in the mountains and he wanted it documented, I got so excited! I love nothing more then capturing proposals for couples. Almost 11 years ago, my hubby Jay had the same idea so every time I get to document these memories it takes me right back to the day we got engaged. Now Chris planned a spa morning for Danielle, and them the plan was to head to Lake Minniwanka. Unfortunately the day he picked also might have been the coldest day ever of the insane polar vortex. Chris’ plan was to walk out past the boat houses and propose with the clear mountain view. Danielle was so cold (and rightly so, it was -30 with the wind chill) and she couldn’t understand why they needed to walk all the way out there when she could see the mountain just fine from where she was haha. Lucky they braved the wind chill and walked out past the boat houses and found the perfect spot. Chris dropped to one knee, and asked Danielle to be his forever! She of course said YES! Congrats Chris & Danielle it was an honor to capture these memories for you both!
